Refunds of up to 90% on fees charged by national and international intellectual property offices
In order to assist small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in their efforts to protect their intellectual property, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Commission are launching a grant program with a total budget of €47 million. This fund will help facilitate the recovery of SMEs from the COVID-19 pandemic and ease their transition to the online environment, as well as aid in the protection of brands and new inventions.
Discounts offered
The support provided consists of the reimbursement of various fees charged by different intellectual property offices for 3 sets of services.
Trademark and Design Registration
- 75% for national and European intellectual property offices
- 50% for World Intellectual Property Organisation
Patent Registration
- 50% for national patent offices
Intellectual Property Audit
- 90% in the Member States for IP Scan services – general intellectual property assessment
